Wednesday House Church

We continue our study in Jeremiah. In chapter 7, we find the people vainly hoping they are safe because the Lord dwells in their midst, in His Temple. However, they hav forgotten that within their own history, the Lord had abandoned His dwelling at Shiloh. Moreover, they were mistaken that sacrifice took precedent over obedience. Jeremiah strives to set things straight, yet his words continue to fall on deaf ears. Due repeated rejection of the prophet, the chapter concludes with one a gruesome and tragic scene in the valley of Ben Hinnom.
